In Model United Nations conferences, students role play as UN delegates in simulated UN committees (like General Assembly, Security Council, World Health Organizations). They get country assignments and topics and they represent their country's viewpoints on a given problem. Then, they work with the other delegates to try and come up with a resolution. Crisis is a different form of MUN, a delegate no longer represents a country, but a character reacting to a historical, current, or future "crisis".
Central Texas Model United Nations is the Universities MUN team. We host two conferences a year, one in the Fall, and one in the Spring, for about 700 high schoolers. We are currently recruiting staffers for our Spring conference. The organization is a low time commitment, around an hour a week. No matter your experience in MUN, you are welcome, everything you will need to know to be an excellent staffer will be taught to you throughout the semester.
Here is the link to the application, https://tinyurl.com/texasmun and here is the link for the Recruitment sign up. The General Meeting is on Wednesday, February 2nd, from 7-8PM in RLP 0.128. Be sure to check our Instagram, @texasmun, and website, ctmun.org for updates, dates, and times. Don't forget the free pizza at all info sessions!
