Free Peer Academic Coaching

As you head into the last month of the semester, if you can relate to any of the following common student concerns, we want you to know that free Peer Academic Coaching is still available and can help you regroup to finish the semester strong.

Requests for a coach may be submitted electronically at https://ugs.utexas.edu/slc/support/pac and complete program information is below.

Any interested UT undergraduate can ask to have a coach meet with them on a regular basis to work on how to plan, self-motivate, and study effectively for the courses in which they are currently enrolled. Coaches are trained and supervised by professional educators, and the cost is covered by the SLC. All sessions are being held remotely this semester on Zoom.

Common topics include planning and time management tips, improving grades, test preparation and test- taking strategies, adjusting to online courses, managing a heavy reading load, concentration, motivation and procrastination, and note-taking techniques. As availability permits, coaches will also offer single appointments on the above topics.

Students who prefer to meet with a member of our professional staff rather than a peer coach can book a learning specialist appointment through the Sanger website at https://ugs.utexas.edu/slc. You can also check out our tutoring, public speaking consultations, and math exam reviews there as well!
