The Texas Sustainability Innovation Challenge is a five-month program that teaches UT Austin students from across campus how to identify a sustainability problem and create a business solution for it. TSIC Innovators attend workshops and complete deliverables along the way. Finalists from the program will pitch for seed funding in Crum Auditorium from 6-8 p.m.. Attendees will vote in an “Audience Choice” award and be entered into a drawing to win prizes during the event! Longhorn Impact Fellowship at Texas (LIFT) Info Session & Applications
The Longhorn Impact Fellowship at Texas, or LIFT, pairs student consultants with corporations, social enterprises, and nonprofits to help solve a sustainability-related challenge. Project topics are based in sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, impact innovation, and sustainability communications. Past projects created solutions for a wide range of issues, such as:
- Understanding ESG and reporting trends in specific industries,
- Conducting market research for impact-focused businesses,
- Identifying sustainable revenue streams for nonprofits,
- And many more!
