Upcoming Strauss Center events

1. Lawyers, Coders, and the Quest for Ethical AI

On Tuesday, March 8, the Strauss Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Nashlie Sephus, Applied Science Manager for Amazon Artificial Intelligence, and Brendan Groves, Vice President of Regulatory and Policy Affairs at Skydio, for a panel on “Lawyers, Coders, and the Quest for Ethical AI” as part of Strauss’ speaker series titled “The Age of AI.” It will be moderated by Adam Klein, Strauss Center’s Deputy Director and Director of Strauss’ program on Technology, Security, and Global Affairs.

This panel will feature live drones in action, and will be held in the LBJ School Breezeway (between the LBJ School and the Briscoe Center).


2. A Conversation with Christopher Krebs, former Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

On Thursday, March 10, the Strauss Center will host Christopher Krebs, former Director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Mr. Krebs will speak on the latest issues arising in the cybersecurity field. This talk is part of our Brumley Speaker Series.
