For Research Week, we invite undergraduates to:
• Present their research or creative work at the Longhorn Research Poster Session April 20. Presenters will participate in one of three 90-minute sessions taking place in person in the Union Ballroom. Students interested in presenting should fill out a brief submission form by March 11; we’ll collect pdfs of posters from participants in early April. All LRPS student presenters will compete for monetary awards, including an $1000 audience choice award, a $500 poster design award, and several presentation awards for students nominated by their colleges.
• Attend a research poster design workshop on Zoom in advance of their research event.
• Participate in and attend research events sponsored by academic units across campus.
We welcome all departments, programs, research groups, and faculty to:
• Organize and host a virtual event such as a symposium, exhibit, workshop, or capstone presentation session. Register your event by March 11 to increase visibility across campus.
• Since the past couple of years have presented so many challenges to research-as-usual, students might especially benefit from research-related networking or outreach events — anything that might help broaden participation and give them ideas for getting started in research.
