GEB 4.214
This international faculty led program offers AMS 370 (cross-listed with HIST 362G/URB 322C/EUS 346) in Vienna, Austria, a magnificent location and a case study of urban and historical development. Students stay in apartments centrally located in Vienna, learn German, and dive deep into the study of the development of Central European city, history and culture, especially in regards to memory, and changes in a society. They also learn from field trips to Salzburg and important historical sites around Austria, and stay active through biking or rafting study excursions. Come and listen to professor Hoelscher’s engaging discussion of why he takes students to Vienna since 2007 and what you could expect from an engagement in the course/program. Feel free to explore program’s details on the program pages here (Texas Global) and here (COLA).
