Gilman Scholarship Information Sessions and Workshop

The Gilman Scholarship is a generous federal scholarship for study abroad and a great opportunity for U.S. citizens receiving a Federal Pell Grant to fund their international experience. UT Austin is consistently a top producer of Gilman Scholars.

Education Abroad is hosting:

• 2 virtual information sessions to help students prepare a competitive application. During the information sessions, we will cover scholarship details, selection criteria, and tips for submitting a competitive application.
• 1 in-person writing workshops for essay review.

The online application is now open for applicants whose in-person or virtual programs start between December 1, 2021, to October 31, 2022. Virtual programs will be eligible through Summer 2022. The deadline for students to apply is Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11:59 pm (Pacific Time).
