Education Abroad - Fall 2021 Update

Hello from Education Abroad,

The world is changing rapidly, and our student’s future success will require resilience, initiative and a global mindset. There are countless opportunities for students to study, intern or conduct research abroad. As we begin a new academic year, our team has a few updates for you.

A few things to know:

• Over 200 students are currently abroad in over 35 countries.
• We are conducting virtual advising and holding live question and answer sessions every day over the lunch hour (11:30-1:00pm).
• Our Global Ambassadors have been blogging during COVID. Their stories are informational and inspirational.
• Passport processing is taking 12-18 weeks. Please remind your students to apply for or renew their passport this fall if they plan on going abroad in 2022.
• We encourage all students to get vaccinated. Not all, but many of our partners will require a vaccine to participate in a program next year.
• The study abroad fair held on Gregory Plaza in September will not take place this fall. In its place we will be coordinating with colleges and schools to conduct specialized sessions and events for your students. We will message CSUs directly to schedule and support the promotion of these events.
