ECA’s USA Study Abroad Branch and the Gilman Program are running a new free virtual series Inside U.S. Foreign Policy that aims to give exchange participants, alumni, and all current U.S. undergraduate and graduate students an inside look at how the State Department designs and implements U.S. foreign policy around the world. This series includes six seminars, each focused on a different geographical region, during which participants learn directly from panels of civil and foreign services officers about U.S. foreign policy goals in the region of focus, how we work to further these goals, and how this impacts Americans.
The first seminar on Sub-Saharan Africa is happening right now, but there are additional seminar on other regions over the next few months. It’s a great opportunity for Americans to get engaged with foreign policy. Interested students can learn more and register at:https://www.gilmanscholarship.org/insideusforeignpolicy/ .
