Opportunity to Present Your Research - Research Week 2021

The Office of Undergraduate Research invites you to participate in Research Week 2021, taking place virtually April 12-16. Research Week is the university’s annual celebration of undergraduate research and creative activity, giving undergraduate researchers the opportunity to showcase their work and share possibilities for undergraduate research and exploration at UT.

For Research Week, we invite undergraduates to:

• Present their research or creative work virtually at the Longhorn Research Poster Session April 14-15. Presenters will upload poster pdfs for viewing on our web site, and they’ll also have opportunities to upload videos (e.g., to explain their research or present creative works), engage with visitors via text comments, and take part in synchronous discussion of their work if they choose (e.g., via Zoom or Discord). Students interested in presenting should fill out a brief submission form by Feb. 26; we’ll collect complete abstracts and posters from participants in late March. All LRPS student presenters will compete for a $1000 audience choice award and a $500 poster design award; the top posters nominated by their colleges will also compete for $3500 in additional awards.

• Attend a research poster design workshop on Zoom in advance of their research event.

• Participate in and attend research events sponsored by academic units across campus.
