Student Organization: She's the First

She’s the First is a national non-profit that is proactively working to fight against gender inequality on an international scale by sponsoring girls’ education in 20+ countries - like Uganda, India, Guatemala, and Peru - so that they can be the first girls in their families to graduate high school! At UT Austin, we sponsor almost 15 girls in Uganda, and we’ve put passion and hard work into our fundraising (about $6000 in 2 years!) to ensure that these girls are getting as much support as we can give them. With COVID-19, STF will be doing all activities and fundraising virtually, and we’re so excited to see what this semester brings us at UT!
