Now Recruiting: Longhorns for a Culturally Competent Campus - Due Sept 4 at 5pm

Recruitment for the 8th cohort of the Longhorns for a Culturally Competent Campus (LC3) program is currently underway. LC3 is a unique and specialized program that is designed to assist residential students with assessing and developing their cross-cultural communication and interaction skills. Each fall and spring semester, undergraduate students are selected to participate in a 10-week series of workshops that will help them accomplish their personal goals for improving their intercultural competency. Workshops are taught virtually using a small cohort model so that students can get to know each other and learn, grow, and practice their skills in a comfortable environment. In addition, each student will receive personalized coaching from a staff member to help to identify and meet the student’s intercultural development goals.

Ultimately, these workshops are designed to:

Help students be more effective in their interactions with others
Enhance students’ competency and skills in negotiating and navigating difference
Prepare students for living in an increasingly global society
Enhance the overall campus climate as it relates to diversity and inclusion
