2020-2022 Catalog Updates

The new catalog will be available for students enrolled in Fall 2020 or subsequent semesters, and includes the following updates:

• The Liberal Arts Additional Natural Science requirement of 6 hours will be removed.
• ECO 304K will be an option (in addition to ECO 301 and ECO 304L) to complete the IRG economics requirement.
• The total number of upper division hours needed to graduate will increase from 36 to 39.
• The total number of upper division hours required to be completed in-residence will increase from 21 to 24.

Meeting with an advisor is NOT required to request this change, but you’re welcome to do so if you have questions. Requests for the catalog change can be made via email to the advising office (IRG@austin.utexas.edu) OR by booking an appointment here. There is NO RUSH to make this change – it can be done at any time. Additionally, you can always go back to your previous catalog if necessary.
